Commercial

Art, when deliberately placed, tells a story.

When featured as a focal point in a commercial space — a hotel, restaurant, office building, or hospital—art can reflect the purpose of the business you are in and the personality of those that inhabit it. Whether you want to create an industrial vibe or a calming environment, I can work closely with you and design a custom piece of art to perfectly fit your needs.

AC Hotel - Pittsburgh, PA

Located in the heart of downtown Pittsburgh, the AC hotel was looking for art that would reflect the industrial background of the city for their lobby on the 7th floor of the building.

Each panel of this industrial triptych measures 36”W x 48”H x 1/2”D. The green background is patinated copper that has been overlaid with strips of rusted and distressed tin. The black frames are custom fabricated from steel angle iron.

Duke Clinical Research Institute - Durham, NC

The Duke Clinical Research Institute features original art from local artists on each floor in their new 200 Morris Street building. The various mediums reflect the nature of collaboration and diversity of work and people.

The magnificent view from the Morris Building, located in the new Innovation District in Downtown Durham, captures the essence of this vibrant city.

The Triptych adds color and interest to the corridor next to the conference room.

Oralast Oral Pathology Clinical Services - Scottsdale, AZ

Located in Downtown Scottsdale, this clinic was looking for art to enhance the atmosphere in their waiting room.

OP

This 36" W x 24”H x 4”D painting is inspired by the oral pathology slides the clinic processes every day.

The colors and shapes are interpretations of those slides added to the brass sheet by applying patinas and using heat. The wall art appears to be floating and creates a crisp, modern shadow due to the recessed wooden frame.

Architecture

Geometric stark lines stand out against a textured background in this painting on brass. This wall art measures 28”W x 48”H x 2”D, and is inspired by Frank Lloyd Wright and his capacity to visualize how architecture melts into and enhances any landscape. The recessed wooden frame allows the painting to throw a dramatic and crisp shadow on the wall.
