CINQUE

A commission for a modern house in Durham

Inspired by a trip to Italy, this piece is named Cinque, which means five in Italian. There are five nine-foot long and eight-inch wide copper panels that create a colorful, modern interpretation of a tree-like structure.

Cinque fits into the space without dominating the beautiful surroundings.

During the day, the light falling through the many windows illuminates different parts of the wall panels and makes the copper glow.

A close up shows the glowing copper and the texture and variety in the patinas.

The organic structure depicted contrasts beautifully with the modern architectural lines.
